Director, Community Renewable Projects

Bullfrog Power

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I began working in the sustainability world as a field biologist in the B.C.'s coastal rain forest, an on the edge of the Beaufort Sea, among the lakes and rivers of the Mackenzie Delta. I soon began working as an environmental educator in Vancouver, after I realized how slowly scientific information moves. For the last 5 years I have delivered hundreds of presentations and workshops, and spoken to thousands of people of all ages about sustainability topics ranging from climate change, food security, climate justice, consumption and recycling. I returned to my home Province (Ontario) to help launch the Orange Drop and RecycleYourElectronics.ca brands, to improve recycling rates across the Province. I recently graduated from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, where I received two awards for my dedication to innovative teaching and environmental education. I am currently the Director of Bullfrog Builds, Renewable Accelerator - Bullfrog Power's innovative program to support community-based renewable energy projects across Canada. I attended the incredible Climate Reality training in Chicago of 2013 and am very excited to share my story and the hope that the Climate Reality Project is all about.
