Amy Huva is an environmental chemist and sports fanatic from Melbourne, Australia. She spent two years working for the Australian Federal Government in Canberra, before deciding that she much prefers big cities. After spending the winter of 2010/11 skiing in Canada, she moved to Vancouver and really loves it. She now works in the environmental industry in Vancouver and writes on climate regularly for the Vancouver Observer as well as running the blog Read the Science.
